Holy Word Inland Mission (HWIM) is a registered organization founded on 11th May 2006, committed to social development with a special focus on palliative care, mental health support, and family welfare.
The mission was founded by Mr. Santhosh P. Thomas and was born out of profound personal experiences, including two life-threatening accidents from which he was miraculously healed by God. These experiences shaped a clear calling to serve the needy and those who are suffering.
Through its mission activities, HWIM seeks to support the poor, destitute, elderly, children, persons with disabilities, and chronically ill patients, helping them live with dignity through compassionate care and community support.

Holy Word Inland Mission establishes HWIM Mission Stations in different places to reach the unreached with the love of Christ. Through these mission stations, we serve communities by providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families facing serious illness and life challenges, addressing their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Holy Word Inland Mission (HWIM) conducts awareness and motivation programs to encourage compassionate community involvement in caring for the seriously ill and bedridden. These gatherings help medical professionals, volunteers, and local communities understand the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual challenges faced by palliative patients and their families.
Through these programs, we promote holistic, Christ-centered care through practical support, caregiver encouragement, prayerful intercession, and compassionate presence, while also inspiring responsible community participation and equipping volunteers to support suffering families with dignity and hope.
Holy Word Inland Mission (HWIM) plans to establish Palliative Retreat Centers for individuals and families facing chronic illness, pain, and emotional distress. These centers will provide counseling, physiotherapy, and spiritual care in a peaceful, nature-friendly environment, offering comfort, dignity, and hope to patients and caregivers.
The retreat centers will also host short palliative care retreat camps to provide rest, encouragement, and inner healing for patients, families, and caregivers.
HWIM Board Members and supporters play a vital role in sustaining the ongoing activities of Holy Word Inland Mission. Through their faithful support and encouragement, we are able to bring comfort, care, and hope to helpless individuals and families through our mission ministries.
Although financial limitations remain a challenge in fulfilling our vision, the continued commitment of our Board Members and supporters enables us to move forward step by step in serving those in need and expanding the mission with compassion and faith.
The affairs of Holy Word Inland Mission are broadly managed by its trust board. All important decisions, evaluations, or any structural changes are taken by the Board of Trustees. Our organization continues its services, which have become a catalyst for positive change in society.
The works and accounts of the Holy Word Inland Mission are monitored periodically by the Board of the Trustees. They would meet periodically and undertake evaluations of the works based on the following visible indicators.
The Annual Mission Review & Evaluation Meeting is a yearly gathering of our trustees, leadership team, staff, volunteers, and mission partners to prayerfully review ministry activities, evaluate impact, ensure transparency, and seek God’s guidance for the year ahead. It strengthens accountability, unity, and strategic planning as we move forward in fulfilling our mission of serving with compassion and integrity.
