Holy Word Inland Mission Charitable Trust was established on 11 May 2006 with a vision to serve, care for, and empower poor and vulnerable individuals and families.

The Trust carries out charitable activities in the areas of education, relief of the poor, medical relief, healthcare, welfare, and other activities for the benefit of the public.

Over the years, the Trust has sought to respond to the practical needs of people facing difficult circumstances by providing compassionate care, assistance, support, and opportunities for improved well-being and self-reliance.

Today, Holy Word Inland Mission is engaged in community-based charitable initiatives including palliative care, mobility and assistive devices, mental health support, and other welfare activities.

To serve vulnerable individuals and families through compassionate care, practical assistance, and ongoing support, promoting dignity, well-being, and hope. 

To build a compassionate and caring society where vulnerable people and families receive the care, dignity, support they need to live with hope and self-reliance.

We work with individuals and families who face financial, health, social, and other difficult circumstances. Our programs focus on providing practical and compassionate support where it is most needed. Our current areas of work include:

Palliative Care
Supporting individuals and families dealing with serious or life-limiting illnesses through compassionate care and practical assistance.

Mobility & Assistive Devices
Helping eligible individuals access mobility aids and assistive devices to improve independence and day-to-day functioning.

Mental Health Support
Promoting awareness, emotional well-being, and access to appropriate support for individuals and families facing mental health challenges.

Community Welfare
Providing assistance and support to vulnerable individuals and families based on identified needs and available resources.

We believe that charitable service is not only about providing immediate assistance, but also about restoring dignity, confidence, independence, and hope.

We seek to:

Identify needs — understand the practical challenges faced by individuals and families.

Provide appropriate support — offer assistance based on genuine needs and available resources.

Promote dignity — treat every person with compassion, respect, and confidentiality.

Encourage self-reliance — where possible, support individuals and families towards greater independence and long-term well-being.

Continue the journey — provide ongoing support where continued assistance is needed.

The affairs of Holy Word Inland Mission is overseen and managed by its Board of Trustees. The Trustees are responsible for making important organizational decisions, reviewing the progress of our services and programs, and approving significant structural or operational changes. The activities and financial affairs of Holy Word Inland Mission are periodically reviewed by the Board of Trustees. The Board meets regularly to evaluate the progress and effectiveness of our work based on the following key indicators:

1. Activities and services provided 
2. Response and feedback from beneficiaries 
3. Positive impact on individuals, families, and communities 
4. Achievement of planned objectives and expected results

The Annual Review & Evaluation Meeting is a yearly gathering of our Trustees, Board Members, Supporters and Volunteers, to review organizational activities, evaluate their impact, assess progress, ensure transparency and accountability, and plan priorities for the year ahead. The meeting strengthens organizational accountability, collaboration, and strategic planning as Holy Word Inland Mission continues its work of serving individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and integrity. 

Together, we care for vulnerable individuals and families through compassionate support, practical help, and ongoing care—bringing dignity, hope, and healing to those facing difficult circumstances. Every helping hand can make a difference.
